Introduction
Welcome to Renewed Balance. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (www.renewedbalance.co.za) and counselling services provided by Puleng Maitin ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.
1. Our Services
Renewed Balance provides online wellness counselling services including: Individual counselling sessions, Couples counselling, Postnatal counselling, Stress and anxiety management, and Free initial consultations. All sessions are conducted online via secure video conferencing.
2. Professional Qualifications
Puleng Maitin holds an Honours degree in Psychology with over 5 years of counselling experience. Our services are provided as wellness counselling and do not constitute psychological treatment, diagnosis, or medical advice. For psychiatric care or mental health emergencies, please contact appropriate emergency services.
3. Booking and Payment
Appointments can be booked through our website or via WhatsApp/email. A booking is confirmed upon receiving a confirmation email. Payment is due at the time of booking or before the session. We accept card payments via Peach Payments and EFT payments by arrangement. Free initial consultations require no payment.
4. Cancellation Policy
24+ hours notice: Full refund or free rescheduling. Less than 24 hours notice: 50% of session fee may be charged. No-show: Full session fee is charged. We understand emergencies happen - please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule.
5. Session Conduct
Your responsibilities include: Ensuring a private, quiet space for your session, having stable internet and working camera/microphone, joining on time, being honest and open, and participating in good faith. Late arrivals will not extend the session. Sessions may not be recorded without written consent.
6. Confidentiality
Everything discussed in sessions is confidential. Limits to confidentiality include: imminent risk of serious harm, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable person, or legal requirements. We will try to discuss this with you first where possible. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our services are not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric care, or emergency services. We do not guarantee specific outcomes. You are responsible for your own decisions. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the services in question.
